Many believed that getting enrolled in a rehab treatment program for addiction is half the battle won. Getting professional help remains as the biggest step one can do to stop the addiction. According to the Center for Disease Control, about 114 people die each day because of a drug overdose. But numbers can go up that the estimate as 6,748 people enters emergency rooms for treatment.

As the disorder affects the nation, only 90 percent of people with drug addiction do get any medical treatment, as what the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration reported. It’s a sad truth that America faces every day. So, every battle won inside rehab centers are one step further in treating society for addiction.

Expert based on the success rate of rehab centers for the sobriety rates immediately following treatment, patient’s interview, the completion rate of the program, as well as internal studies. But most importantly, rehab centers should have a quality care facility that provides during and after the treatment period. Every patient that leaves its doors, should be celebrated. As this individual has a better chance of reclaiming their lives back.

 

In Bolivar, West Virginia, they celebrate its rehab graduation in a very strange way – in a funeral form. This signifies that their old bad habits are now dead and that they can rise again from its ashes.

 

“BOLIVAR, W. Va. – It’s a ritual that may look strange to those unfamiliar with the recovery community. But for those in recovery and their families, a rock burial is the perfect way to symbolize the beginning of a new life.

The Jefferson County community gathered at the Bolivar Community Center to say their final goodbyes to a life of addiction.

This is the third year that the Jefferson County Day Report Center held their Rock Burial Ceremony. A peer recovery specialist with the center says participation has doubled this year. The ceremony signals the end of months of treatment for some who have committed drug related crimes.”
